A Hip Hop showcase based in Portland Oregon, providing a platform for artist in an environment designed to help grow the culture.

The vision of emcee and promoter STARCHILE in 2016, Mic Check quickly grew into a monthly event where you could find some one the best emcees on the stage or in the audience. The original team of STAR (R.I.P.) as host, Trox as resident DJ, René Lopez and photographer and DJ Klyph behind the scene helping as curator built an event that continues to represent the culture in PDX.

in 2023, Mic Check PDX celebrates it's 7 year anniversary while also celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop. This event also kicks off Portland Hip Hop week.
